Initial Consultation – any age up to 18

An initial consultation lasts up to an hour.

Beforehand, I read the reports you send me, including those from other professionals already involved with your child and, where relevant, from their school or nursery. This means the appointment itself is spent discussing your child rather than gathering paperwork.

During the consultation, we talk through your concerns and your child’s development so far. I advise on the support your child may need and which agencies can provide it. Where a diagnostic assessment would be helpful, I explain what that pathway involves and what it would ask of your child.

At the end of the appointment, we go over everything together, and I follow up with a written summary.
